Scoping Normal Turnaround: 5 business days; i.e., Monday at 1:00 p.m. to Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday count as 1 business day.
Simple audio/spot checking: $1.10
Full audio: $1.25
Video: $1.40
Expedited transcripts: An additional $0.20 per page for each day less than 5 days.
Daily copy with simple audio: $2.10
Daily copy with full audio: $2.25
Proofreading Normal Turnaround: 3 business days; i.e., Monday at 1:00 p.m. to Thursday at 1:00 p.m.
Proofreading: $.40
Proofreading expedites: 2 days – $ .60 / 1 day – $.80
Proofreading daily copy: $1.00
Additional charges: If extensive research is required because of expert witness, technical, medical, or environmental content, if the audio is of poor quality, or if there is excessive drops and/or untranslates or mistranslates, an additional fee may apply to the page rate. You will be contacted beforehand if this should occur. We understand that a number of things can happen during a deposition or a trial that may be out of your control.
If the total number of finished pages exceeds the beginning number by more than 5 pages because of additional content that was added from the audio, an additional charge of $1.00 per excess page will be added to the page rate for the excess pages only.
Payment: Invoices are sent out via e-mail on the 15th and the 30th of every month. They are due upon receipt.
If the amount due is not paid within 10 business days, a flat rate of $25 will be added to your total due.
If special arrangements need to be made, please contact scopist before the due date.
Payments can be done via bank transfer (Wells Fargo, Chase, US Bank), check, or through PayPal.
If using PayPal, a 2.9% fee for PayPal charges will be added to the total amount due.
